About Ericka
I grew up in Monroe, WI and attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I majored in Marketing and Management/Human Resources, with a Specialization in Supply Chain Management. After a wonderful college experience in Madison, I moved a little further north in the state for a Supply Chain position with Kimberly-Clark Corporation. I spent 3.5 years with the company, learning about all things Supply Chain related: fill rates, lead times, promotional planning, and supplier negotiations, to name a few. (I also learned a lot about the world of bathroom tissue, facial tissue, and feminine care products – hey, it’s the nature of the business!)
After gaining valuable Supply Chain experience and knowledge at Kimberly-Clark, I realized I had a passion for the Marketing side of the business. I decided to pursue my MBA, and it became apparent very quickly that Fuqua was a great fit for me. Not only does Fuqua have an excellent Marketing reputation, but it also has the diverse student population and strong collaborative culture that I was looking for. I chose Fuqua knowing I would receive an exceptional Marketing education and also knowing I would learn a lot from my classmates and their experiences. The Marketing education? Check. The classmate thing? Triple check. Every day, I am absolutely amazed by the accomplishments and knowledge of my peers at Fuqua. They are certainly shaping my MBA experience beyond what I ever imagined.
My career goal after school is Brand Management with a CPG company. I am currently still in the process of finding an internship for the summer, which is certainly keeping me busy. In addition to the internship search and classes, I am actively involved with the Marketing Club, the Culinary Club, and Fuqua on Board. I try to squeeze in a run most days and do some cooking, which are both things I enjoy.
