ETA means making a commitment to showing up every day and making decisions, often imperfect ones, in service of your customers, your employees, and your business over a long period of time. 

I was drawn to the idea of owning and operating a business, especially in health care, so entrepreneurship through acquisition (ETA) felt like a natural fit.

I entered Fuqua with a plan to actively practice whatever I learned in the classroom through something of my own.

As an international student, I’ve experienced the complexity and stress of the U.S. immigration process firsthand. But the real “a-ha” moment came during my internships at venture capital firms.

I aimed to pivot from consulting to marketing, which I was successfully able to do. However, an MBA at Fuqua not only facilitated this transition but allowed me to explore alternative career interests, such as venture capital.

The fellowship with the New Ventures group is an experiential learning opportunity that aims to connect Fuqua MBA students with Duke’s startup ecosystem
