I always dreamed of studying in the U.S., so I wanted an MBA program that had a community spirit.

At Fuqua, there's no shortage of avenues for support when it comes to academics, career, and new opportunities to stretch yourself. The Duke MBA Marketing Club is a great example.

In those interactions, I made the decision to engage in entrepreneurship—the ultimate hustle.

I knew I wanted to participate in the CASE i3 Consulting Practicum program, which pairs a team of select MBA students with an impact investing question that a company is wrestling with.

Fuqua changed up some of its core curriculum by adding a class called, “Business and Common Purpose,” bringing faculty from different areas of expertise together, so students could learn from varying perspectives.

I came to business school with many goals for my personal and professional development, but my career goal was singular: I was going to get a job in consulting.

I had heard how fast time flies once school starts, but it only really registered in mid-December while I was walking out from my last exam of the term. Time and tide wait for no man, but man did I wish I had known a few things before the craziness came and went.

Fuqua Client Consulting Practicum is an experiential learning opportunity for students to work on consulting engagements with businesses and nonprofits around the world. First-year and second-year MBAs work in teams to assist client organizations with challenges across a number of industries and fields such as marketing, strategy, and operations.

Serving on the cabinet of the Design & Innovation Club is one of my favorite extra-curricular activities at Fuqua. Guiding my classmates through design thinking workshops is extremely rewarding, and has given me the chance to hone my own design skills as well

Fuqua On Board is a volunteer-based, year-long program where MBA students are selected from a pool of applicants and paired with a local nonprofit to serve as a non-voting board member
