What began as a personal passion project has grown into a full-fledged business, supported by the skills and community I found at Fuqua.

A combination of support and initiative from our client gave this project depth and direction, helping me gain the confidence to engage with professionals, ask better questions, and approach problems with a more practical mindset.

While attending Fuqua was one stop on my journey, my mission to become a franchisee in the pet industry began long before my time at Duke.

Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship allowed me to immerse myself in a world that transcends conventional learning.

Coming into Fuqua, I did not have any consulting experience, but I was interested in learning more about the field.

Fresh into the MMS program, I wanted an opportunity to hone my client-facing skills, while gaining hands-on consulting experience and I stumbled upon Duke Interdisciplinary Social Innovators.

As I researched various schools, Fuqua’s opportunity clearly differentiated it from other management programs. The core benefit of this program is that it goes beyond solely academic coursework to develop practical, technical, and communication skills.

Just a disclaimer: I didn’t win Accenture’s case competition. I lost. I learned. I lived to consult another day. Here’s what I took away from that lightning hour of casing and our ten-minute presentation

For students interested in gaining marketing experience or learning about the fast-moving consumer goods industry, this competition is one of the best opportunities during the program to get front-line exposure to the business world
