As a result of the pandemic, MMS: DKU graduates of the Class of 2022 navigated virtual courses and the uncertainty of global conditions, but also experienced record-breaking job success.

Coming into Fuqua, I did not have any consulting experience, but I was interested in learning more about the field.

Duke Interdisciplinary Social Innovators brings together students in different graduate programs to provide consulting services while strengthening their mindset and skills.

In the Class of 2022 Employment Report, new highs in job acceptances and salary show the previous year’s success was more than just a temporary rebound from tumultuous times.

I knew MMS would help bridge the gaps in my college experience caused by the pandemic. What I did not know, however, was that every day I would get the chance to look back and see firsthand how much of a life-changing opportunity attending Duke and Fuqua was for me.

We can’t wait to see what’s next for them as they positively impact their colleagues, companies and communities!

It’s been just over three years since I graduated from the MMS program and I wanted to reflect on how Fuqua prepared me for the challenges ahead.

Everyone’s career path and goals look different, but every Duke, Fuqua, and other resource I speak of in this article can definitely help you figure out yours in some way.

I found myself more excited than ever about my future career path. I had been exposed to consulting, which appeared to be a perfect fit. The field appeared to line up neatly with my skills and personality, however, one glaring issue still existed: I had absolutely no experience in the industry.
