I'm Minju Kang, originally from Jeju, South Korea, and currently a business analytics graduate student at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business graduating in May 2026. Before Duke, I spent a year as a marketing analyst at a cosmetics company analyzing purchase patterns and running data-driven campaigns. The work sparked a deeper curiosity in me. I wanted to go beyond describing what was happening in the data to building models that could explain and predict it. That drive brought me to Fuqua.
At Duke, the most valuable thing I have learned is how to connect data to real business decisions and communicate findings in a way that actually resonates with the audience. One of my favorite applications of that has been working with the softball team as a data analyst, building a Python pipeline and interactive dashboard with Dash/Plotly that transformed plate-appearance data into insights the coaching staff could act on directly.
Outside of work, I enjoy weight training, filming and video editing, and watching college football.
