My name is Paul Zhao, and I have had the honor of serving as the marketing track chair and curriculum committee representative. I was born and raised in California and earned my bachelor’s degree in data analytics from Chapman University. Throughout my career, my work has ranged across health care analytics, sports analytics and management consulting in the Bay Area, New York City and Chicago.
It has been a dream to attend Duke since I was a kid, and I am incredibly grateful for the leadership, social and career opportunities it has provided. Outside the classroom, I work with the Duke women’s basketball team as a data scientist, presenting insights and analytics from health metrics, strength training and on-court performance data. I also work closely with MQMA on programwide events such as Loud Disco, MQM Olympics, football tailgates and the MQM Formal.
In my free time, you can find me at the Bull City Flea Market, Wilson Gym or West End playing billiards. I enjoy fashion, music, pool and fitness. Durham is a beautiful city, and if you have any questions about life on or off campus, please feel free to reach out.
