Despite all of my fears, I stepped out of my comfort zone, embodying Team Fuqua without even realizing it.

Joining the MQM program at Fuqua was like opening a mystery box — and inside that box? A new team, a new journey, and a new set of unforgettable experiences.

From the very beginning, I knew the MQM program was going to be incredibly diverse. I was determined to take advantage of the opportunity to connect with as many people as possible.

The Fuqua Quantitative Management Programs Data Competition motivated us to find new applications for machine learning and data analysis in a field that we’re deeply passionate about: sports.

Whether it was a teammate patiently explaining Python syntax for the fourth time or a professor turning complex math into something funny and digestible, I always felt supported.

My time at Duke was life-changing in more ways than one, and while the experience was incredible, I’m most grateful for the friendships I developed along the way.

Adjusting to life in the U.S. was about more than just adapting to a new food culture; it was about finding a way to feel at home in a place that was vastly different from where I grew up.

Together, we’ve navigated academic challenges, explored the vibrant city of Durham, and built a strong support system.
