While there is a lot to do at Fuqua and Duke, stepping off campus and getting to know the area has been one of the best parts of my time in North Carolina.

As a student at Fuqua, I wanted to do something more for my classmates, something that would help bring us closer together and create long-lasting memories for everyone.

I really wanted to make the most out of what’s come to feel like a wonderful pitstop on my career journey.

MQM students always have the opportunity to unwind with their classmates, attend activities to refresh after a demanding week and make the most of their time at Fuqua. 

Business school can get stressful at times, especially when it’s an extremely fast-paced 10-month program like MQM.

Whether you recently moved to the Triangle, are a tourist, or a local, we have some places that we are sure you would love!

Looking back, I gained a lot, not only from the program but from the entire experience of studying in a business school in a different country.

Before coming to Fuqua, I trained with a triathlon team in my home country of Mexico, and I wanted to continue being active in the sport while living in Durham.

Ever since I was eight years old living in the dense cornfields of Greenwood, Indiana, I have never missed a nationally televised Duke Men’s Basketball game.

I knew the words Fuqua and Friday, but separately, not as a term “Fuqua Friday.”
