I am testing my comfort zone to grow in analytics, knowing that when I hang up my uniform, I will be ready for whatever comes next.

To drive meaningful improvements in patient outcomes and operational efficiency, it’s essential not only to understand data but to synthesize and apply it effectively.

I wanted to deepen my technical skills while keeping a strong focus on business management, and the MSQM: Business Analytics degree at Fuqua felt like the perfect program for gaining a competitive advantage that aligned with my career goals.

Over the course of 20 years, I held various leadership roles such as team leader, manager, and service coordinator, giving me deep insight into the health care system.

From stronger analytical thinking, quicker application of new skills, or a broader understanding of how data can be leveraged, the program has transformed how we show up in different areas of our lives, especially the workplace.

Looking back on my time at Duke, I feel proud, but I feel even more grateful…for the people I met, for the ideas I was exposed to, and for the unexpected benefits of the program.

My journey from bedside nurse to the tech industry was made possible by the professors, leaders, and support from the Duke community.

After finishing the program, I can confidently say I am more than a doctor with clinical knowledge and program management skills, I can also leverage my data analytics skills.

My transition from pursuing medicine to health administration is a dynamic and evolving journey.
