Now that my admissions experience is in the rearview and my transition back to school is complete, I wanted to write about my experience in the Weekend Executive MBA Program at The Fuqua School of Business. Here are my reflections on the most relevant parts of the experience so far.

I attended an open house and fell in love with the curriculum and warmth of the school community which motivated me to apply

It’s amazing how life can change so quickly. A little over a year ago, I had started my application to the Weekend Executive MBA program, not thinking I had any chance of getting into Fuqua.

The primary reason holding me back from plunging into an executive MBA program earlier than I did was my son.

We are determined to maximize our opportunity and to take advantage of the time we have together. Pursuing a healthy body directly correlates with our healthy minds.

Many decide to go back to school after realizing that in order to grow their careers in the long term, they need to make drastic changes today—develop new skills, grow their network and gain exposure to potential employers.
