You’ve done your research – attended information sessions, connected with Fuqua’s admissions team, and perhaps even some students and alumni. Now you can experience life as a student.

Open houses provide an immersive, day-in-the-life experience. You can drop in on a class, engage with current students over lunch, perhaps bump into a professor or two, and network with others who are embarking on the same adventure.

What To Expect

Our open houses typically take place when one of our Weekend Executive MBA cohorts is on campus for their in-person weekend residencies. Each open house kicks off with an overview of the Weekend and the Global Executive MBA programs by our admissions team. We dive into the program format and curriculum while highlighting unique experiential learning opportunities available to our students such as the Fuqua Client Consulting Practicum and the Global Academic Travel Experience. We share insights and guidance on putting together a strong application.

We also offer in-person interviews if you’d like to have that aspect of your application completed while you’re already on campus for the open house. These will take place around the day’s programming so as to not disrupt your experience and is a terrific way to cross one to-do off your list!

One of the very best resources for our applicants is our students. They are a wealth of insight and advice—after all, they were in your shoes not that long ago. Our open houses offer a chance to talk to the students in a casual setting over lunch. You’ll find our students are eager to talk about their experiences and share their knowledge.

After lunch, it’s time to switch to ‘student mode,’ by sitting in on a class. Depending on which term is in session, you’ll have an opportunity to observe a variety of either core classes or electives and get a peek into what our collaborative and highly-engaged classrooms are like.
