In the wise words of Benjamin Franklin, “Tell me, and I forget. Teach me, and I remember. Involve me, and I learn.” This philosophy has always resonated with me throughout my career and serving as a finance leader.

Over two decades, I’ve navigated the rigorous challenges of Big-4 public accounting to the strategic complexities of Fortune 500 companies, with a focus on retail, energy, and manufacturing sectors. I am also an active Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor.

Currently, as the Director of Accounting at Walmart, my finance acumen and horizons have expanded beyond the U.S. and into the vast world of international business. My Walmart opportunity has been a gateway to global collaborations and creating connections and partnerships across Latin American, Chile, China, and Africa.

In a world increasingly connected by technology, my role at a leading global retail conglomerate has underscored the importance of a global business perspective. This insight sparked my pursuit of a Fuqua Global Executive MBA. The diverse cultures of our cohort and the extraordinary experiences of our international residencies have been nothing short of transformative. Post-MBA, I aim to dive deeper into international business and embrace new challenges.

My passion for continuous learning extends beyond my professional career to meaningful community involvement and personal growth. My wife and I are avid scuba divers on the exciting path to achieving our Divemaster certification. We’re eager to share our journey with our daughter, who will soon be old enough to get her junior PADI scuba diving certification and join us in the underwater world!

I’ve also had the privilege of serving my community in roles that mirror my dedication to growth and leadership as a:

• Board member for notable non-profits like the Children’s Advocacy Center and the Maryland Center of Veteran Education and Training

• Guest lecturer at Arkansas HBCUs, providing advanced accounting insights and career advice to the next generation of accounting professionals

• Volunteer firefighter/EMT-B and Junior Firefighter mentor for over eight years

These diverse experiences reflect my leadership philosophy—empowering, developing, and inspiring individuals to achieve their best, whether in the conference room, the classroom, serving the community, or the depths of the ocean.
