Hi everyone—my name is Nicholas Skerpon. I am currently an MSQM: Health Analytics student at Fuqua. A little bit about me so you can understand how I got here…I grew up in the Northeast in a small town called Sayre, Pennsylvania. I owe a great deal of my upbringing and desire to make an impact in the world to my parents, Bill and Kim Skerpon, who were entrepreneurs to their core owning and operating a beer distribution business for over 20 years. That experience instilled in me the foundation of business and the importance of community. From there I took those values into my educational journey and professional career.

I graduated from Ithaca College and moved out to Kentucky to begin my career with Amazon in operations then got into medical devices with Zimmer Biomet in orthopedics, and later transitioned to Haemonetics and the cardiovascular space. Once I completed my MBA from University of Southern California in May of 2022, I landed my current role at Biosense Webster, a Johnson & Johnson company in the electrophysiology space.

I am excited to have enrolled in my second master’s at Duke with the MSQM:HA program to continue my knowledge in the health care sector where I have a great desire to continue to build my career in health care. I owe a big thank you to Rick Anderson who has been the greatest advocate and mentor as I embarked on my career within MedTech.

When I am not working or studying, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Olivia and Italian Greyhound, Barbour. We are expecting our first baby, Anderson William Skerpon in November 2023.
