I’m currently pursuing my MBA and the Health Sector Management Certificate. I received my Master of Science in Information Management from the University of Maryland, College Park with a specialization in strategic management of information systems and was selected into the Golden Key International Honors Society along the way. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing/Finance from Walsh College in Troy, Michigan, where I attended after transferring from the University of Michigan-Flint.
I work as a senior manager in quality engineering with OptumServe (a federal health services business formed by Optum/UnitedHealth Group as a subsidiary) and have more than seven years of experience in health IT with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, a federal agency within the Department of Health and Human Services that administers the country's major health care programs. Prior to my current role, I provided consulting services in health IT to General Dynamics, Jhpiego (an international non-profit health organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University) and CVS Caremark.
I’m a certified project manager and a member of the Project Management Institute, a Certified Scrum Master, and I hold additional professional certifications in Information Technology Infrastructure Library and SAP Customer Relationship Management.
