My name’s Eric Johnson. I’m an AI engineer based in Chicago, Illinois.

I began my career working in mergers and acquisitions at CITIC Securities. After that I worked in business development roles at film/television companies in Hollywood, Shanghai, and Beijing, where I focused on fundraising from Chinese investors, doing inbound acquisitions, and identifying projects for investment at international film festivals. Then, I began working at an educational company in Beijing before returning stateside for my current role.

As an undergraduate, I studied Chinese literature and economics at Tufts University. I completed a charter financial analyst (CFA) program and was initially attracted to the MSQM program because it represented a deeper dive into the areas of the curriculum that I found the most interesting, and the most applicable to my work.

I’m also the proud father of two boys, Norman and Teddy. In my little free time, I enjoy reading novels, playing guitar, and travelling with my children to new places.
