My name’s Eric Johnson. I’m an American based in Beijing, China. I began my career working in mergers and acquisitions at CITIC Securities. After that I worked in business development roles at film/television companies in Hollywood, Shanghai, and Beijing, where I focused on fundraising from Chinese investors, doing inbound acquisitions, and identifying projects for investment at international film festivals. I currently work at an educational company in Beijing.

As an undergraduate, I studied Chinese literature and economics at Tufts University. I’m also a candidate in a charter financial analyst (CFA) program and was initially attracted to the MSQM program because it represented a deeper dive into the areas of the curriculum that I found the most interesting, and the most applicable to my work.

I’m also the proud father of two boys, Norman (two years old) and Teddy (almost one). In my little free time, I enjoy reading novels, playing guitar, and travelling with my children to new places.
