I was born in Tokyo, raised largely in Los Angeles, and prior to Duke I lived in Beijing and San Francisco after doing my undergraduate degree at Middlebury College in Vermont.

My background is in nonprofit development, and I chose Fuqua specifically for its strong focus on the potential for business to affect positive social change. To this end, I’ve been able to engage as a consultant with a local health care-focused nonprofit through the Duke Interdisciplinary Social Innovators program, and as an organizer of the Sustainable Business and Social Impact (SBSI) conference.

Fuqua activities: I am the curriculum representative for my class of 2016—a role that allows me to serve as an active listener to my peers and work with our administration to develop a dynamic and effective class experience for Fuqua students. I am a cabinet member of the Net Impact Club, and am also involved in the Health Care Club, Fuqua Pride, the Asian Business Club, and the Association of Women in Business.
