Growing up, I couldn’t have told you what an MBA was. I grew up in Arkansas as the youngest sibling in a homeschooled family of eight, and I stayed in the area all the way until I rolled my pickup truck to Durham to start the summer term at Fuqua.

Over the years, I picked up more business skills and knowledge, and I came to Duke to help chart a course for a fulfilling and ambitious career back in Arkansas. If all goes to plan, I’ll help build career opportunities in the heartland of the US for more people than just myself.

I am interested in employee ownership, strategy, behavioral psychology, economics and finance. I am even more interested in Razorback basketball, embarrassingly nerdy fantasy/sci-fi novels, enjoying the outdoors, and drinking cold beers with good friends. It is one of my greatest blessings to have chosen a school where I can bring my whole self to class each day, and I hope to contribute to a future that allows everyone I interact with to do the same.
