I had the good luck of being born in North Carolina—specifically in New Bern, and I grew up in Winston-Salem. Between high school and college, I took two gap years and volunteered with City Year in Boston where I taught environmental science and managed our relationships with corporate donors. As an undergraduate I studied economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). Go Tar Heels! Since then, I have worked for the chancellor at UNC, helped run a candidate’s campaign for US House of Representatives, and spent three years working as a consultant to nonprofits in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

At Fuqua I was involved with the Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital club, as well as with research on impact investing through CASE i3. Upon graduation in 2016, I began working for Boston Consulting Group in Washington, D.C.
