I am a second-year MBA candidate at Fuqua, serving as the MBA Association co-president and Social Impact Fellow for the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE).
I graduated with a bachelor of arts in political science/government from the University of Pittsburgh. After undergrad, I moved to Battleboro, North Carolina as a member of the Teach for America Corps to serve as a 6th and 7th Grade Math instructor. After I concluded my term as a teacher, I took on a role as a recruitment manager for Teach For America in New York City. I was subsequently promoted to the role of Director of Early Engagement, where I worked on scaling and advancing Teach For America’s High Impact Tutoring Program ‘IGNITE’ and also worked on Teach For America’s Family Focused Education Policy Agenda as a policy and government extern.
I completed a 6-month policy advocacy fellowship with State House Representative Josie Raymond of Kentucky's 31st District, conducting policy and legislative research in early childhood education to support efforts for the "Pre-K for All (KY)" initiative, which aims to expand access to Pre-Kindergarten educational opportunities for Kentucky families.
This summer, I completed an associateship within the financial sector at Citigroup in New York City, and I have a deep desire to pursue careers within impact investing, social innovation/entrepreneurship, and economic development.
