I was born in Yokohama, Japan, and came to Durham as the partner of a Daytime MBA candidate (Class of 2026). I am actively involved in the Fuqua community, currently serving as co-president and communications chair of the Fuqua Partners Club, a student-led organization for partners and families.

With a professional background in corporate planning, corporate communications and executive support at global companies such as Sony and Daikin, I have worked closely with multinational teams and senior leaders across cultures. I decided to pause my career and come to Fuqua to support my husband during his MBA journey, while also navigating life as a parent in a new environment.

Having lived in the United States for more than a decade across North Carolina, New Jersey and New York — including my early school years — I have experienced cross-cultural environments from multiple perspectives. These experiences shaped my interest in communication, diversity and the often-invisible work required to bridge cultural and organizational gaps.

These days, I enjoy playing the violin, which I began in early childhood, practicing yoga, playing pickleball and starting my mornings with a good cup of coffee. I also enjoy traveling and exploring local food scenes as a way to connect with different cultures.
