I grew up in Billerica, Massachusetts, but headed down to North Carolina for my undergraduate degree. I graduated with a B.S. in Radiologic Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014. After graduation I worked as an MRI technologist at a hospital in Massachusetts for two years before deciding to go back to grad school. I know I want to continue working in the healthcare field, but I want to make the switch from a clinical career to a business career.
As a science major, it was extremely important for me to find a graduate program that was not exclusively meant for business majors. Fuqua’s MMS program was the right choice for me because it really does teach the foundations of business to anyone—with or without prior business education. Upon graduation I am confident that my science degree combined with my business degree will set me up for a successful career in the healthcare industry.
My decision to go to Fuqua was heavily influenced by my older brother who graduated from the MMS program in 2015. It was very helpful to speak with someone who went through the program, which is why I’m happy to contribute to the MMS blog.
