I was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, and I came to the U.S. to pursue higher education at the age of 20. Before coming to Duke, I spent roughly three years respectively in San Francisco and Phoenix for my undergrad studies. I graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s in marketing. Outside of the college classroom, I found myself doing promotions for various clubs and events, such as Business Pitch-Deck Competition, Campus Health Fair, or club membership for the business club at the junior college I attended.
Prior to moving to the States, I was part of the sales force of a regional medical supply chain. Recognizing the fact that to make a sale without effective analysis of what customers need and who they are is extremely difficult led me to my current career focus: marketing analytics. The big question I often ask myself is what characteristics constitute a good customer and a bad one. With that in mind, I have found passion in customer analytics for acquisition and retention. I aim to become an analyst for a SaaS company that specializes in business production.
