Throughout my career, I’ve worked for three major academic health care systems. I’ve had responsibilities for research administration, financial management, and strategic planning. My day to day work is inspiring and invigorating. As a non-clinician, I am always amazed to see how care delivery impacts the lives of patients and their families.
I chose to pursue an MBA to build my business acumen and glean insights from how others are innovating in their respective industries. I chose Duke’s Fuqua School of Business because I believe in the power of collaboration and knew the Team Fuqua collaborative spirit would enrich my learning experience.
Giving back is also important to me. I serve on the board of directors for the WELL, a non-profit in downtown Raleigh focused on promoting positive social and academic outcomes for young people.
I currently reside in Raleigh, N.C., with my husband. In our spare time, we enjoy discovering new places and hiking with our two dogs. I’m also an avid audio book “reader” and am always looking for recommendations of what I should listen to next.
