I am a senior power system engineer at Austin Energy where I manage engineering and construction teams through electrical substation upgrades that improve the reliability of Austin’s energy grid.
Prior to working with Austin Energy, I spent four years as a capital projects manager with the City of Austin where I managed over $100 million in assets for urban trails infrastructure, reclaimed water systems, and urban design improvements in the heart of downtown Austin, and six years in the private sector in Texas, Louisiana and California where I managed chemical and commercial development capital projects.
My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a minor in the Japanese language (in addition to the MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business that I am currently pursuing, of course).
Outside of work, I enjoy participating in group fitness classes, attending live music events, reading fiction and finance/economics history, and practicing Spanish and Japanese.
