I am Y.B. Carr, and I take pride in being part of the Duke Fuqua community. I was born in Nairobi, Kenya, to Liberian parents, but I’ve considered the United States my home since I was two. My path has been influenced by my family, profession, and enthusiasm for leadership. My spouse Gabby, a Duke alumna, and I share a blended family with five amazing kids. Beyond my job, I’ve spent 15 years coaching football, which has provided me with essential insights into teamwork and perseverance.

In my professional journey, I have developed a career in SaaS sales, focusing on enterprise solutions and customer satisfaction. While I work towards my MBA at Fuqua, I look forward to enhancing my abilities and moving into revenue leadership positions that promote transformative results. Gabby and I also share a love for international travel, which fuels my curiosity and broadens my perspective as I strive to lead with impact.
