I spent my formative years in the great state of Maryland, growing up just outside of Baltimore and earning my undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland. Upon graduating, I joined Teach for America—an organization dedicated to providing quality education to students in under-resourced schools—as a teacher in New Orleans. From there I ‘launched’ into my second career at NASA, spending four years working in cybersecurity at the Goddard Space Flight Center.
I chose to come to Fuqua because of the quantitative education in brand management and qualitative personal development that occurs at the school. Educationally, Fuqua’s marketing and brand management classes and career prep are top notch in the world. Personally, it was important to have a transformative (not transactional) experience that forced me to grow as a person as well. I only applied to one school, because I believed that Fuqua was the only school for me. I hope you find yours!
Activities at Fuqua
I am on the cabinets of Net Impact—an organization that focuses on creating positive social and environment impact in your career—as well as the Male Allies Committee, a sub-committee of the Association of Women in Business (AWIB). I represent Fuqua on the volleyball court in intramurals and begin every class with a joke of the day.
