Lunar New Year celebration with my classmates.

One of the resounding themes of the MMS program and Fuqua in general, is the large value that is placed on diversity in terms of background, experience, and culture.

This past weekend marked the Lunar New Year and for many students of Asian heritage within the MMS program, it was an opportunity to welcome the New Year and enjoy each others company. One of these celebrations was hosted by my roommate, and I had the opportunity to celebrate my first Lunar New Year and learn about the traditions it represents. My impressions of the Lunar New Year: lots of food, laughter, and good conversation.

To round out the week, there will be an Asian-themed Fuqua Friday that will feature the diverse Asian culture through art, food, and fashion. Can’t wait!
