This is the story of how I changed my career trajectory from oil and gas operations to technology product management.

My classmates and I banded together to create a student-led initiative in an effort to develop anti-racist businesses because we feel it is up to us, current and future leaders, to shape the future strategies.

I was quite confident that I was going to absolutely crush balancing the rigors of a fast-paced job, a Global Executive MBA program, all while being a husband and a new dad.

When it was announced that Term 2 and Term 3 would be domestic residencies in Durham, I set out to create engaging club activities over Zoom that gave members of my class cultural immersion and networking experiences.

The learning begins before students step foot in a classroom.

Why go back to earn an MBA? Why now? Why Fuqua? These are some of the questions I received when deciding to pursue an MBA midway through my career.

Team Fuqua is a way of working. It’s the instinct to draw out strengths in others to move a team forward toward a common goal.

Choosing to pursue an MBA is a life-altering decision. It usually involves spending quite some time looking at a program’s coursework, class size and composition, and school ranking among many other things

With some time to reflect, I can say that despite the long hours during our residencies and the intensity of the distance learning portion, the one constant of my MBA has been my smart, interesting, and diverse classmates.
