I'm James Beavers, an MQM student in the Finance track. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, I earned my undergraduate degree from Florida State University. I chose Fuqua's MQM program for its unique blend of business and technical skills and the strength and friendliness of Fuqua's alumni network. (And I must admit, Duke basketball was a non-zero factor!)

After completing the MQM program, I plan to pursue analyst positions at investment banking firms. Beyond academics, I cherish the personal connections and friendships I've formed here at Fuqua. The community is filled with bright, kindhearted individuals who make this experience truly special.
