Before Fuqua
Prior to joining the program, I was a graphic designer and entrepreneur. By day, I led a content marketing team at a pharmaceutical market research firm, and at night I ran my retail e-commerce business.
I loved the marketing role and the healthcare focus of my full time job, but I was really excited by the product marketing and customer focus of my own business. So I decided to pursue an MBA with concentrations in health care and product management to combine my passions.
I grew up in North Carolina and attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for my undergraduate studies in journalism and mass communication. After college, I stayed in Chapel Hill where my husband finished his PhD in Biomedical Engineering. He graduated in May and we switched roles—now I'm the grad student and he’s the working professional. We love living in the Triangle and experiencing the best of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
