Fuqua offered me a safe environment to take risks and move outside my comfort zone.

Pursuing an MBA at Fuqua has been a transformative experience, made possible by the support of friends, classmates, and others.

I’m now a first-year MBA student but in the second year of my dual degree program, and I can say, unequivocally, that I made the right decision.

Rather than coming to campus saying “I want to join XYZ club,” think about what you want to gain and stay flexible. There may be even better avenues to accomplish your end goals for an MBA.

One of the great opportunities we have at Fuqua is to learn from leaders across a multitude of industries. This exposure is, simply put, invaluable.

Reflecting on my background helped to enable me up for my personal mission in Diversity and Inclusion (D&I). My first opportunity in D&I came in the form of supporting our recruiting team by going back to Temple, my undergraduate alma mater, to identify candidates to join the company.

In some of my first interactions, I could see the many possibilities for students to be leaders within the Fuqua community and to make a difference for their peers and the broader community. Taking the responsibility of being a leader at Fuqua is essential to maintaining the community which we love so much.

Getting your MBA provides an opportunity to explore different interests and build on existing skills. The challenge is weighing the desire to be busy and explore new opportunities with maintaining a healthy balance in your life.

Whether it be the professors, the Office of Student Life, or the students, the entire Fuqua family came together and forged ahead during what probably will be one of the most challenging, yet interesting terms at Fuqua. And here is the story of it.

The final term of my second year at Fuqua has come to the end, and it was another term full of emails, calls, and busy schedules. People usually worship second-year MBA life as the most chill period of the business school experience. It seems like the reality was different, at least for me.
