Now that I have graduated with my MBA from Fuqua, it’s a great opportunity to pause, look back, and thank myself for this gift that I gave myself.

Throughout my leadership journey, I realized that true leadership is not about personal achievements or recognition, but about amplifying the voices of others.

The value of business school truly is your network. And in building that network you must become skilled at telling your personal journey, your background, and your story.

I found many exciting and compelling opportunities to develop professional skills and abilities through experiential learning.

There is a lot to learn in the classroom, but nothing compares to putting your knowledge and skills to the test in the real world.

Coming from an energy and financial services background, I knew I needed to develop my functional skills further, regardless of my industry of choice.

From being exposed to varying cultures to opening doors to new industries, my time at Fuqua has shown me that the world is filled with more opportunities than I thought.

Fuqua has multiple experiential learning opportunities, and I recommend students explore these opportunities to find the right fit for them.

Growing up in a small town with limited resources, I never had many opportunities to explore leadership roles or discover my full potential. But that changed when I came to Fuqua.

For anyone, getting your MBA means becoming a master in multitasking and prioritizing, but taking on the program with three kids and your partner as your classmate—those skills jump to a new level.
