Navigating which courses to take can be overwhelming, especially when your interests might differ from your closest friends and classmates.

My Fuqua journey has been transformative so far—both in and outside the classroom.

For anyone who is considering a business degree and feels concerned about their “nontraditional” path, I’d urge you to change your thinking.

A concern for diversity, equity and inclusion issues is embedded in Fuqua’s DNA. For students, it shows up in both their curriculum and co-curricular activities.

Sometimes people ask me why entrepreneurship education should be taught within our MBA program if most students don’t aspire to launch a venture immediately post-graduation. The answer is twofold.

Fuqua changed up some of its core curriculum by adding a class called, “Business and Common Purpose,” bringing faculty from different areas of expertise together, so students could learn from varying perspectives.

One course that stood out to me during my Summer Term experience last year was Entrepreneurial Mindset and Action. It was a new course, debuted to our Class 2022, to stimulate us to develop entrepreneurial perspectives and skills through experiential learning activities.

The faculty at Fuqua is a highlight of the MBA experience. We have a number of thought leaders in a variety of different industries who all bring a unique perspective to the classroom.

I had heard how fast time flies once school starts, but it only really registered in mid-December while I was walking out from my last exam of the term. Time and tide wait for no man, but man did I wish I had known a few things before the craziness came and went.

Whether it be the professors, the Office of Student Life, or the students, the entire Fuqua family came together and forged ahead during what probably will be one of the most challenging, yet interesting terms at Fuqua. And here is the story of it.
