Now four terms into MQM, I’m excited to share that I secured my first job in tech, and I wanted to share my experience and some tips on how I got to this point!

From working in commercial finance at one of America’s leading multinational energy companies to getting first-hand experiential and immersive learning from the Strategy track of the MQM program, my decision to join Fuqua has undoubtedly been one of the best decisions I have made.

I was faced with the dilemma of choosing which track would be the best fit for me. As I read about the Forensics track, I was immediately drawn to it, as a good way to apply my interest in data analytics in a growing career field.

Strategy, finance, forensics, or marketing? This was the same question that troubled me as I went through the application process at Fuqua.

Graduating during the pandemic after completing my master’s degree from my bedroom was certainly not how I pictured my final moments in the MQM program. However, those last few months brought forth a unique learning experience.

Last fall, I had the absolute honor of representing Fuqua and Duke as a finalist in the Adobe Analytics Challenge. I was flown out to Adobe’s headquarters in San Jose, California, to present our big ideas in front of a panel of judges and a live audience.

The first questions most prospective students ask are related to their academic readiness. So I’d like to share some tips that will help you prepare for applying to and attending business school.
