I’m grateful to Duke and Fuqua for offering me not just an education, but a place where I felt seen long before I was officially a student.

Pursuing a degree was a way to redefine myself beyond being a wife and mother and to invest in the professional identity I wanted to build.

Despite all of my fears, I stepped out of my comfort zone, embodying Team Fuqua without even realizing it.

Joining the MQM program at Fuqua was like opening a mystery box — and inside that box? A new team, a new journey, and a new set of unforgettable experiences.

From the very beginning, I knew the MQM program was going to be incredibly diverse. I was determined to take advantage of the opportunity to connect with as many people as possible.

As an international student who had never been to the U.S., I faced many challenges, and I hope these tips help others thrive at Fuqua.

Whether it was a teammate patiently explaining Python syntax for the fourth time or a professor turning complex math into something funny and digestible, I always felt supported.

Fuqua was the ideal choice because I developed both business knowledge and analytics expertise in the program.

My time at Duke was life-changing in more ways than one, and while the experience was incredible, I’m most grateful for the friendships I developed along the way.
