Adjusting to life in Durham can feel like a big task, especially when you’re also starting a new program.

Durham is a city where the more you explore, the more its personality comes to life.

Moving to a new country is never as easy as it seems. When I decided to move from the U.S. to China for the MMS: Duke Kunshan University (MMS: DKU) program, I was filled with excitement and determination.

From athletes and entrepreneurs to engineers and content creators, I met people whose stories reshaped how I listened, how I asked questions, and how I lead.

A combination of support and initiative from our client gave this project depth and direction, helping me gain the confidence to engage with professionals, ask better questions, and approach problems with a more practical mindset.

I knew I could load my plate with school, activities, and so much more; I needed to be intentional about how I spent my short time at Duke.

The first-hand experience gained through the Fuqua Client Consulting Practicum (FCCP) gave me a better foundation of the consulting field and greater insight into problem-solving strategies, market research, and client-facing activities.

I am genuinely impressed by how Fuqua’s community-focused approach quickly transformed a diverse group of individuals into a close-knit cohort and supportive friends.

This year is going to be an amazing chapter in your life, full of growth, friendships, and unforgettable moments.
